Right from the top, my guess is that a small number of you understand this title reference. It comes from long ago, on a TV set in another galaxy and universe…
That said, behind door #2 is the second thing, the next cosmetic sample that I tried last week on my Nordstrom pilgrimage.
I am, of course, talking about Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. This product is supposed to be the best foundation ever, as in, better than sliced bread; can slice, dice and if you act now…[another ancient reference!]
Seriously, this stuff has real street cred.
I had the associate find my match [4.5 in case you wondered] and apply it to my jawline. She also provided a sample for me, apologizing that she was just about out of tester.
First, it passes the comfort test with flying colors. I never knew I had it on.
When I went to apply it all over my face for an event the next evening, I found it to be very thin in consistency. As a result, I used up most of my sample. It seemed to absorb into my skin immediately. Again, no discomfort or itching, but I was left thinking that I would use quite a bit of product each time I applied. That is not something I look for. The other rather odd thing is that this foundation does not contain sun screen.
The plus however, is that my skin looked absolutely, well, like real skin! You know how foundation—even when skillfully applied—can make your face look a bit plasticized? Not an issue here.
The next day, I applied my usual product—which I really love [Estee Lauder perfectionist foundation]—and noticed how my pores seemed highlighted. I did not experience that with the GA.
I would definitely give this product a try.
Btw—I did receive a Sephora gift certificate for Christmas…it will go towards this item, I’m quite sure!
[It’s me…sans any make-up!!]
